The LORD is righteous in all His ways, gracious in all His works…. He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them. Psalm 145:17,19
Do you sometimes wonder if the Lord hears your prayers, or feel like your cries for help are blocked by the ceiling of the room you’re praying from? I too get discouraged when my prayers go unanswered. We need to first recognize that this discouragement comes from Satan and that he is trying to get us to doubt Gods love for us and His sovereignty over all. We need to stay focused on the many promises that God has made in his Word, like the promise God makes in Psalm 145:17, 19 – He WILL (emphasis mine) fill the desire of those who fear Him; He also WILL (emphasis mine) hear their cry and save them. When you think about this it is REALLY good news for those who love and fear the Lord. I do believe God will answer any prayer as long as long as it fits into the plan He has for our lives. If we pray for something and it seems our prayer goes unanswered it was not in God’s plan or timing. God’s plans are more glorious than anything we could imagine and He works for the good of those who love him (Romans 8:28). So if God seems silent that doesn’t mean his answer is “no”, It could mean “not yet”, or “I have something even better planned for you”. Stay in Gods Word and stay encouraged.
